Red Rocks Initiative for Sustainable Development joined other individuals / Organizations and Tourism businesses in declaring a climate emergency and taking action to reduce their carbon emissions. Kunda Arts Collective, is a social business connecting and supporting artists in Rwanda. At Kunda Arts Collective, their goal is to promote sustainable development in Rwanda through partnering with local artists and investing in their communities.

They work with talented Rwandan artists to provide a platform for them to share their artwork and creations, expand their horizons, and retain a sustainable income. They do this by organizing events and workshops and selling art through our physical and online shop.

In order to be able to carry out our activities, they collaborate with
different partners worldwide and in Kigali, such as galleries,
artists, RedRocks Initiative, the German organization Starfrica and
the German Embassy in Kigali.

IVOMO is a social enterprise which was created with the sole purpose
of promoting culture and community-based tourism in Rwanda, with a focus on the South-West of Rwanda, around Nyungwe National Park and Lake Kivu under the brand of Kinyaga Heritage. We help tourists to enjoy agro-tourism (tea and coffee tours), nature reserves and bird watching, tours around historical and cultural sites, food, art and handcraft, music and dance with a focus on Intwatwa and Nkombo dance and music, religious tourism, aqua-tourism with a focus on Kivu tours, etc. Our motto is "sharing culture, coming together." Therefore we help tourists to enjoy community experiences through interacting, sharing, and discussions.

IVOMO integrates and empower local communities with focus on women, youth and marginalized groups through tourism as an off-farm source of
income.

IVOMO is involved in organizing the Nyungwe Marathon and Community Expo, Kivu Belt Festival in order to promote MICE tourism, promote and support local businesses, and involve locals in tourism and conservation of heritage and nature sustainably.

Nyamirambo Women’s Center is Rwandan local NGO launched right at the end of 2007 by 18 women living in Nyamirambo suburb of Kigali.
Together they created a project which aimed to address gender-based violence, gender inequality and discrimination, problems faced today by many Rwandan women. NWC’s mission today is to provide education and training to disadvantaged women so that they can gain better opportunities for employment.

To fulfill its mandate, NWC offers to the community different
activities, such as free classes in literacy, English, basic computer
skills, handicrafts and sewing, empowerment training on gender-based violence, and training on community-based tourism. 

Nyamirambo Women Center offers wonderful tourism experiences throughout Nyamirambo 
community walks, cooking classes and good quality “Made in Rwanda”
products available at their place.

Mgahinga Community Development Organisation (MCDO) is one of the leading local organisations that are promoting community development and conservation around Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in Kisoro,
Uganda.

The management of Lake Mutanda Eco Community Centre , initiatives in sustainable agriculture, building development for local schools and provision of safe drinking water to schools and nurseries, and the formation of eco-tourism ventures are just a few of the projects currently in progress.

Green Cameroon is a non-profit making organization that works to conserve and protect nature in Cameroon. It was founded in 2003 by a group of young Cameroonians who felt concerned about the level of environmental degradation and lack of interest/awareness on environmental issues that prevailed at the level of the average Cameroonian.

Green Cameroon was founded with a mission to Conserve Cameroon’s rich biodiversity by working on practical solutions to solve conservation problems. We pay close attention to sustainable development, rural community livelihood and contemporary environmental issues. Green Cameroon was formed with a strong commitment to fighting environmental problems in our communities like deforestation, desertification, unsustainable farming practices, improper waste disposal methods, water scarcity, health problems linked to sanitation and general lukewarm attitude towards and nature conservation issues. Green Cameroon helps local community members to live better lives by improving on living standards alongside making scarce resources available for posterity
