Community Initiatives Project

Red Rock’s Community Initiatives Project focuses on key pillars that support its mission and vision of integrating tourism, conservation and community development. The programs target the communities living in the Virunga massif as the main focus for involving them in a wide range of issues and programs meant to bring about sustainable development.

We seek to empower the local communities through promoting their basic rights, improving their environmental management systems, supporting innovations and sustainability, and strengthening the locals to engage in activities that enhance their livelihoods and health among others.

All our programs are in line with ultimately achieving “Agenda 2030”. They include, and not limited to:
